I took this panorama of the Park Loop Road just outside the Wild Gardens of Acadia in Acadia National Park, Maine on September 30, 2014, 5:52 PM. I shot 7 rows and 7 columns for a square aspect ratio, but in the end I liked the lower half better than overcast sky in the top half, so I cropped it into a 2x1 panorama. Edited with Lightroom, stitched with PTGui, and blended with Photoshop.
Equipment used: Nikon D700, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II, circular polarizer, and Really Right Stuff TVC-34L tripod w/ leveling base & multi-row panning head. Shot at 200mm, f/2.8, ISO 200, and 1/6 shutter speed.
Gorgeous road! Perfect crop :)
Thanks! It's quite a dramatic crop from the original stitch, but I'm quite happy with it. Sometimes less is much more.
