Hanging Rock, NSW, Australia

It doesn't snow here often, and it was already spring when this predicted weather front was forecast to come through. Hanging Rock in the snow is a bit of a bucket list shot really. It's around 5.5kms hike in on a fairly straightforward trail, but getting down the last 100M takes a bit of care. Left before sunrise to get there for first light but with the cloud there wasn't really any sunrise to behold.

The snow flurries came as predicted and provided a magnificent site watching them go on into the valley. The whole place has been changed dramatically from the bushfires 12 months ago, but it's recovery is well underway.
