I often shoot in areas of low light pollution but nothing compares to the skies in the far reaches of Eastern Oregon. While walking in this cosmic mud I could easily see parts of the milky way with my naked eye and could even make out the dark horse nebulae on the right-hand side. I took so many photos of the stars involving these mud tiles that by the time I was done at 430 am I had about 2 pounds of mud attached to the bottom of each boot. Par for the course!
