The Mwanza Flat Headed Rock Agama is one of the world's most colorful reptiles. It's hard to believe the strikingly colorful males can survive for long in the open, basking in plain sight on sunny outcrops. Because of their color scheme, they are often nicknamed the "Spiderman Agama." Each brightly colored male a harem of five or six comparatively drab females.
I took the image with a Canon EOS R6 with an EF 200 – 400 mm f/4.0 L IS USM teleconverter lens. The exposure settings were 1/250 sec, f/6.3, ISO 800, 560 mm. hand-held. The image was taken on November 3, 2022.
