How to Ensure You Never Lose a Photoshop File

There is perhaps nothing more frustrating than spending hours working on a Photoshop file, only to discover that you saved the wrong version or that you can't undo a certain step a few changes back. So, what can you do to ensure you never encounter that situation? This fantastic video tutorial will show you three important tips to ensure you always have access to the history of your Photoshop files.

Coming to you from Unmesh Dinda of PiXimperfect, this great video tutorial will show you three helpful tips for ensuring maximum access to the history of your Photoshop files. As you get into deeper and more involved edits, this is something you will want maximum control of, and it is well worth taking a minute or two to customize the program to better allow this. In tandem with this, of course, you should ensure you have a solid backup strategy. This means that in addition to having local backups, you should have a cloud-based backup service in case of something like a fire or flood. I use Backblaze, which costs $6 a month for unlimited storage, and it has saved me a few times over the years. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Dinda.
