How to Fix Clothing Using Photoshop

Clothing can be an annoying finicky thing, bunching up in distracting ways, or getting torn and stained at the most inopportune times. While fixing a stain in Photoshop is often relatively straightforward, dealing with a bunched-up sleeve can be tricky, particularly since clothing often has a fixed pattern you need to keep intact to make the edit believable. This helpful video tutorial from a Photoshop pro will show you everything you need to know to get it done correctly.

Coming to you from Aaron Nace with Phlearn, this excellent video tutorial will show you everything you need to know to fix common problems with clothing in Photoshop. This is a super-useful skill to have if you photograph people, and it is one of those little touches that really sets a professional image apart. For example, I once photographed a wedding at a venue that had a beautiful alley of birch trees. I knew I wanted a shot of the bride and groom in it, but we only had two or three minutes to get one, and in my hurry, I missed a bit of a bunch in the bride's dress. Luckily, a bit of work in Photoshop took care of it, and it turned into one of my favorite images from the day. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Nace.
