How to Retouch Beauty Images in Capture One and Photoshop

Conceiving of, lighting, and shooting a beauty image is a ton of work, but it is only half of what it takes to finish things off. Strong post-processing skills are needed to create a fully polished beauty image, and this excellent video tutorial will show you what you need to know to process a natural light beauty shot.

Coming to you from Kayleigh June, this awesome video tutorial will show you how to retouch a natural light beauty shot using Capture One and Photoshop. Beauty retouching takes a careful touch, as client expectations are often very high, and as such, it is great to consistently practice post-processing to keep your technique and eye sharp. If you are newer to retouching, try to remember that there is often a tendency to go overboard. One way to help avoid this is to step away from your computer when you are done with an edit for just a minute or two to reset your eyes, then reevaluate the photo one more time before you export it. You will often end up pulling things back a little bit at this point. Check out the video above for the full rundown from June.
