How to Sharpen and Enhance Details in a Beauty Photo Using Photoshop or Capture One

When it comes to beauty photography, being able to showcase the details is a crucial aspect, which means the need for strong post-processing skills. If you are looking to improve your work, check out this great video tutorial that will show you how to sharpen and enhance the details in your photos using both Capture One and Photoshop.

Coming to you from Kayleigh June, this excellent video tutorial will show you how to sharpen and enhance details using both Photoshop and Capture One. Sharpening is something that sometimes gets a bit overlooked, with some of us often leaving settings on the default. However, taking more control will help you bring your images up to the next level. Like any post-processing technique, though, the key is a light touch, lest you can end up with rather artificial-looking results. In particular with a local adjustment like sharpening, be sure to constantly zoom out to check how the overall results are progressing while you are working, as it can be easy to lose track of the overall look of the photo when you are working at a highly zoomed-in level. Check out the video above for the full rundown from June.
