On the heels of photographer Yosh Enatsu's A7s killer low-light test, DxOMark comes out to confirm that the A7s is the new champion of low-light cameras. Expected to ship July 1st, the camera can still be pre-ordered at B&H.
Below are a few comparisons from DxOMark's tests, but you can also read DxOMark's original release here.
I've never quite understood these charts. I know many deride them, but they seem to hold interesting information. However it's a mystery to me (for instance) that how, at 14.2 Evs, my D600 (and I would assume D610 as well) has a greater dynamic range than pretty much any other DSLR camera out there, including top of the line Nikons and Canons.
Yeah... With a grain of salt, you must take DxO.
I stopped looking at DXO a long time ago. No idea what their stuff means. :) And didnt wanna take the time to find out, as cameras I liked had high score overall but people were saying cameras with lower overall, were better and dxo said so?
ANYWAYS :) grats to the winner, who ever it really is. :)
