7 Helpful Tips to Improve Your Landscape Photography

Creating a successful landscape photo takes creative vision, solid technique, and often, a bit of luck. If you would like to improve your landscape images, check out this fantastic video tutorial that will show you seven helpful tips sure to help you improve your photography.

Coming to you from Mike Smith, this great video tutorial will show you seven tips to improve your landscape photography. Of the tips, one that I think can have a significant and immediate impact on your work is planning ahead. It is definitely fun to just head out for a walk with your camera, and there is nothing wrong with that, but on the other hand, if you intend to create serious images, taking the time to plan ahead will make a huge difference. Apps like The Photographer's Ephemeris allow you to see exactly where the sun will be in the sky at any location and on any date in the future, making it easy to plan compositions in advance. In tandem with awareness of the weather forecast, you can give yourselves a much greater chance of success. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Smith.
