Lots of us could use a smile right now. If you are looking for something to distract you or simply to pass the time, this great video details 10 uplifting movies that are worth a watch.
Coming to you from CineFix, this excellent video takes a look at 10 uplifting movies that are worth watching. My personal favorite on the list is "Remember the Titans," though everything here is a great film. "Remember the Titans" has a somewhat predictable plot, but it so well crafted and told that you do not mind. One movie that I always enjoy immensely that did not appear on the list is "A Beautiful Mind." It tells the story of mathematician John Nash Jr., who struggled with paranoid schizophrenia, but eventually overcame all his struggles and won the 1994 Nobel Prize for Economics for his PhD thesis on the Nash equilibrium as well as the prestigious Abel Prize in 2015 for his work on nonlinear partial differential equations. Whatever your taste, though, now is a great time to indulge in a positive movie to remind us all that there are still good things to look forward to! Be sure to tell me what your favorite uplifting move is in the comments so I can check it out!
No "Forest Gump"?
Definitely an honorable mention!
I'll give a try on many of them. Thanks for the tips !
PS. : Amelie doesn't work as uplifting when you live or lived in Paris for a while. It looks more like science fiction.
And Life is beautiful ? Despite the talent of Roberto Benigni, it's still a tragedy for me. A great movie, but such a tragic one.
Hey a positive video! That’s nice to see, thank you. Especially with all the mean people that come out on this website sometimes. We all need so happiness!
If you have time to watch a whole film, I'm going with Shawshank. It takes you pretty low, but, ends about as high as it can get. However, you can't stop it part way through.
If you only have a few moments here and there, gotta go with Princess Bride. "It's not my fault I'm the biggest and the strongest."
"It takes you pretty low, but, ends about as high as it can get."
Perfect description!
All I have to do is hear those strings and I'm high and low at the same time! What would you pick?
My picks would be Shawshank and Holy Grail.
A mean streak a mile wide . . . .
Wow, so many great movie ideas (and a bunch I haven't seen)! We just caught up on West World so this is perfect timing! I'm thinking a Wes Anderson marathon, then work through the list from there. :)
