Dreamland: The Coolest Bike Ad Out There

I came across this video while just browsing around and it ended up being one of those videos that just took me back. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to drones, but also a huge fan of some good drone work for photography and videography. I expected this video to just be a narrative/documentary about a mountain biker, when suddenly it turned into much more. Flying through the trees, up to the mountains, into caves, and out to the snow and ice; this video takes you on one big journey with the mountain biker himself.

From my experience as a pilot, it is always a goal of mine to find the coolest possible locations to fly in. I find myself traveling hours away to get to some of the locations I shoot, all for a photo or video. When a company decides to really put some effort into showing something, they hire a person or a team who is capable of actually making this "something" worthwhile to them. As a photographer, I can really appreciate this because most of the time they are trusting you to create something amazing for them at a good price for both parties. The company receives a video that couldn't show their product better, while the film crew gets paid for filming and producing some outstanding work. As a creative, I think it awesome to be able to work with people or companies who have a vision for what they do while also having a huge appreciation for what we do for them.

Throughout the video we are constantly exposed to amazing aerial shots, a bunch of fast moving pans, and some stunning scenery. The audio of the bike riding through each environment only adds to the video by making things more dramatic. The Producers took a lot into mind during the making of this as the audio in the detail shots are louder than the audio in the shots that are filmed from further away. Aside from that, they took location into consideration filming in places such as Hawaii, British Columbia, and Alberta to get some of the shots they did. I think they did an amazing job with the entire video and it goes to show that it really does take a lot to plan, film and create something awesome like this.
