Of the tips, I think the most salient one is easily the importance of good patience. Obviously, pets are vastly different subjects than humans, and you can't approach them with the mindset and expectation that they will simply behave and pose as you need them to. It often takes a lot of time and effort, and you have to have a lot of different tricks up your sleeve, as different animals will respond to different cues and stimuli.
