Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Importing Photos in Lightroom

If you haven't closely examined everything you can do when you import photos in Lightroom, you could be missing the chance to save valuable time in your workflow and increase both your organization and efficiency. This great video will teach you everything you will ever need to know about importing photos into Lightroom.

Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this helpful video will show you the ins and outs of the Import dialog in Lightroom. While it might just seem like the place where you ingest image files into the program, there's a lot you can do in the dialog to make your workflow down the road easier and more enjoyable. For example, since I have plenty of space on my hard drive and I don't like waiting for files to render, I always make sure Lightroom generates 1:1 previews on import. Since I do other things while I'm waiting for the process to complete, I don't mind the bit of extra time, and when I sit down to edit the files, they load instantly, which saves appreciable time when you're dealing with larger sets of images. Check out the video above for everything you can do in the Import dialog!
