Color grading is one of the final and most important steps to giving any image a really professional touch. This helpful video tutorial will show you everything you need to know about color grading using the Color Balance tool in Photoshop.
Coming to you from Miguel Quiles, this great video tutorial will show you how to use the Color Balance tool to grade your images in Photoshop. Color grading is one of the best ways to add a bit of personal touch to your images and to create a consistent and identifiable style. Personally, the Color Balance tool is my favorite way to do this, as it's a quick, easy, and powerful way to add a bit of nuance or go all out. One thing to note, however: even though the tool's sliders have a range of -100 to 100, it takes very little movement to make a noticeable difference; in fact, I finish most of my images with adjustments in the single digits. As with most things of this nature, it's generally good to take a "less is more" approach. I recommend taking time away from the image when you're done and coming back to take a second look after giving your eyes a break. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
wow, interesting
Interesting, but 3 times too much long
For me, this method makes more sense. I'm still trying to wrap my head around Blend-If.
Gradient maps are a really strong way to shift colors.
