In this Film Riot video, actor and director Ryan Connolly gives us the rundown on how to create a blind eye effect, similar to what we see happen to Arya Stark in HBO's, "Game of Thrones." Film Riot pulls this off in Adobe After Effects (although this tutorial can be applied to your compositor of choice) and without the use of painful contact lenses.
Film Riot is always knocking out fun filmmaking video tutorials. So fun in fact, that it's the real reason I'm always posting them. Not being a filmmaker, I never know what the $*#% Ryan is talking about, but thankfully many of our aspiring filmmaking viewers do. And even though the educational component will go right over the heads of my fellow non-filmmaking ilk, there is still a whole lot of entertainment value in it for you, as Josh Connolly blinds a co-worker with his balls (Can I say "balls" here?) and displays his usual amount of over enthusiasm for his love of "Game of Thrones." Watch until the end or you'll miss Ryan's efforts to use the bathroom.
Watch for new Film Riot episodes very Monday and Thursday and, like all things, you can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
