Rosa is upfront about the perceived negatives right away. You're dealing with a 2x crop factor, so a 25mm lens behaves like a 50mm and a 50mm behaves like a 100mm. So the verdict comes down to what you point the camera at. Landscape work, travel, and street photography all play to the format's strengths, especially if you want to move past a fixed-lens body like a Leica Q or a Fujifilm X100 series and still keep the kit small. If you shoot mostly outdoor or studio portraits and you're constantly fighting for shallow depth of field or working in low light, Rosa says you can probably skip it, though he won't call it a bad option even then.
