I really like this shot because of it's simplicity. The tones match the mood perfectly Maybe I would even crop it to a narrower aspect ration to emphasise the horizontal lines.
In my opinion to make this an excellent shot it would need a subject that disturbs the harmony suggested by the horizontal "perfection" like a lightning in the background or an animal by the river.
But nonetheless I think this is great work.
