As I stood along the roadside enveloped in cloud, I wandered what in the world I was hoping to photograph... I had stopped along the side of the road on my way home from Page, Arizona, and had no composition since all I could see were clouds. I waited a bit longer (my instinct telling me to wait) in hopes of getting an image and to my joy, the clouds lifted enough to reveal the mountains behind. I quickly framed a composition and took the shot. The partially back lit mountains create a nice gradient.
