This is a result of a photo walk I did with a friend in Berlin Mitte a while ago. It was some time after noon. I did experiment with a 70-200mm lens for capturing architectural motifs.
I found this building near Hauptbahnhof, it's a office building of big business and corporate consultancy. I was standing on the other side of the river Spree and shooting around 90mm to get a nice pattern with less distortion as possible as well as having the street lamp right in the middle of the frame. It took some time to get it right.
Processing was done with Lightroom and Photoshop. I needed only a few tweaks to fix the lens distortion and crop the frame as perfect as possible.
I love architectural photography with this kind of 'reduced perspective' really a lot. This reduction is pushing patterns and shapes and also helps to capture a minor part but interesting part of a building.
Love this shot, some locations are just meant for filling the frame!
Thanks Titouan. You are right there some of these locations around. Let's find them ;)
