During the off season dogs are allowed on Sand Beach in Acadia National Park. My dogs are pretty anti social, so they don't often get this kind of opportunity to be off-leash in the open. Not a lot of people were hitting the beach in February, particularly first thing in the morning, so we had the place to ourselves. The dogs were ecstatic. For this shot, I had my wife throw the tennis ball at me; I prefocused the camera and waited for the dog to enter the frame.
