Personally, I think this is a solid shot, 3 stars. I like the way you really get the feeling of the horse turning quickly as well as your daughter leaning into the run. Good shot 🙌
Personally I would crop in tighter. But I understand you perhaps wanted the barrel in there to show that it was a barrel race.
The horse is slightly out of focus in the face and legs. Which is understandable at the speed, but a higher shutter speed could really freeze that moment.
Not a big fan of the background and mainly the telephone pole.
and the picture isn't straight. But. It sort of works here if that was intentionally done. It almost looks like the horse is pushing so hard that it's tilting and twisting the entire frame and really gives it power. So I would almost say that it could be even more tilted.
we dont have a choice with the arena; its a wide open area with nothing for background; so i use what area i have also as far as picture isnt straight well if a person understands barrel racing and that i am using a tripod and it is level well you get the understanding that this is how the arena is designed
I would say the shot has potential, but more work could have been done on the editing side.
im not a big fan of highly edited photos; that being said i am trying to get better at it;
