Certainly a shot I'd be proud of. It captures a good section of action.
For me to rate it world-class level, it'd be nice if the background was more separated (narrower dof) and if the precise moment was a bit more grabbing, like the touch of the ball, or a more direct impact or something. But hard to criticize when it's better than I'd likely have been able to grab. :)
Thank you for your feedback! I definitely agree that there needs to be a narrowed dof. This was shoot with a Tamron 18-400mm 3.5/6.3 so it was definitely not ideal. I have upgraded to a Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 so that should really help with that!
