My wife and I had just moved into a high rise condo, giving us 270 degree views of downtown Dallas. We were eating dinner when my wife, a native of Kansas as in "we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto," looked out the window and said "that looks like a wall cloud." If you don't know, that's where tornadoes are born. A minute later the building alarm went off telling us to get in the stairwell. I of course ran out on our balcony with my camera. Moving from AC to muggy summer air immediately fogged my lens but I was able to wrestle this out of the file. The image lead the evening news on the Dallas NBC affiliate.
