Kodiak is a fishing town on an island off of Alaska's south coast. With a population of less than six thousand people, it is nonetheless Alaska's tenth largest city, showing just how remote America's largest and wildest state really is. At the height of summer, nearly every day I spent in the Kodiak Archipelago featured deep cloud cover and moderate temperatures. This photo was shot towards Kodiak from a nearby island across the shipping channel using the Sony a7IV and 16-35mm f/2.8 GMII.
