I drove all the way back up the west coast of New Zealand for this image ... Weather can be a bit unpredictable in this area and even on my hike up to Alex Knob on the base of the Franz Joseph glacier I was hiking through thick fog. I still decided to set up my tent and stick around for sunset … And I was not disappointed. I shot this handheld on my trusty Nikon D850 and the AF-S NIKKOR 16–35 mm 1:4G ED VR. I took three photos and made a focus stack in Photoshop. Let me know your thoughts :)
