My girlfriend and I visited Thailand, and she insisted we spend some time at a meditation retreat. Volunteering to assist the monks (or other staff) with tasks is one way to pay for staying at the retreat. On this morning, we offered to help the monks collect donations from the surrounding villagers, and they invited me to take photos. The woman kneeling is receiving a blessing from the monks, for having donated some food.
