As I wandered through the sacred grounds of Rishikesh in India, I encountered a priest performing his evening rituals. The scene was mesmerising, with the flickering flames of a multi-tiered oil lamp casting a warm, ethereal glow. The dark background provided a perfect contrast, allowing the light from the lamp to highlight the priest’s traditional attire and the offering plate he held.
