2.18 - "Needs Work"

My wife and I (fiancé at the time) were recently on a road trip to get eloped in Leavenworth, Washington. We saw this old abandoned house on the side of the road and we had to stop! The depth of the shadows on the field and single tree behind the house really drew me in. This was shot on a Leica q2 that I rented to take pictures of our elopement weekend. This was my first time shooting with leica, and I really love how this image turned out!

I think there is the potential for an amazing shot here. The placement of the house on the right hand side of the image makes my eye shift along the horizon to the right and out of the image. It doesn't hold my gaze to take in more of what's happening in the frame.

Maybe shoot lower to give the field in the foreground more space so the sky, which doesn't have a lot going for it, takes up less room.

Thanks for sharing this shot.

Thanks for the tip! I'll crop it a bit differently and see how it looks!
