I took this photo on a recent trip to the Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico. I was captivated by the story of the Aztec empire's rise and fall, and the remnants of what it has become 500 years after the Spanish conquest. It’s striking to see how these sites look today, overshadowed by Western culture.
