This shot kind of epitomizes my experience with travel photography. Limited time, less than ideal conditions, both of which constantly dueling my sky-high expectations. In what is so far, my first and only trip to the Dolomites, I was struggling simply catch a glimpse of the rocks while the guide went on and on about how the previous day was amazing.
Clouds and fog were teasing me the entire time and just as it was time to leave one of our stops, a peak revealed itself literally for like 10 seconds, but just long enough for me to compose and shoot. A fair amount of work was involved in fixing the curves and color given the conditions, but the final product is unique and portrays my time there.
