This "little egret" (Egretta garzetta) I photographed one morning on the Greek Isle of Corfu in June 2024. The bird is perched on a small commercial fishing boat. When I asked the fisherman (who spoke English) if I could photograph the egret, he called the bird, and the little fellow flew to the top of the fishing boat as you see. Nikon D750,28-200 mm Nikon Zoom at 200 mm. 400 ISO, f6.3, 1/320 Ipapanti Church in the background dates from the early 1700s.
