I’ll never forget the moment when the tiger decided to look back at my lens—it was absolutely surreal. I shot this in Panna National Park, Madhya Pradesh, India, during a summer afternoon after spending the entire day tracking two tigers from the same litter. I had spent the morning following elusive animal calls, and after much anticipation, decided to wait at 'The Vulture Point'—a gorge where vultures nest. Since it was summer, there wasn’t much water in the gorge. As I watched, this majestic tiger appeared, walking along the dry base of the gorge, and that's when I captured this unforgettable moment.
