I saw a crowd of people along a fence line while I was walking around a hillside in Paris. I went to see what everyone was looking at and saw this view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. This picture was taken while I was standing on the fence to gain some height and using the fence's horizontal top piece as a support for my camera. I was trying various speeds to get the light beacon to light up the evening sky. It was during the blue hour. Then this gentleman came into the picture and at first turned on the room lights, then lit up a cigarette and finally got a glass of wine to take in the city view which allowed me to capture this amazing moment in time.
