3 - "Solid"

As I stood by the water's edge, the hustle and bustle of the city began to fade into the background. The sun had just dipped below the horizon, leaving behind a canvas of pastel hues that slowly darkened with the approach of night. I felt a sense of calm wash over me, mirrored by the stillness of the water before me.
The city, usually so alive and bustling, seemed to take a breath, pausing briefly. One by one, the lights flickered on, illuminating the skyline and casting shimmering reflections across the water's surface. In that quiet moment, I was struck by the beauty of this duality: how the city, a symbol of constant motion and energy, could also exude such tranquillity. I wanted to capture this feeling, this moment of serenity amidst the urban chaos, and share it with others through my lens.

I used my Nikon D750 with a TAMRON SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD A007N lens to capture this serene moment. I set the camera to f/11.0 with an 8.0-second shutter speed and ISO 100 at 24mm. I chose a long shutter speed and a higher f-stop to create a long exposure effect, allowing me to capture the silky smooth movement of the water as it reflected the city lights. A tripod was essential to keep the camera steady and avoid blurring from the extended exposure time.
