Your Best Images of 2024

A spring-time shot at John Bryan in Ohio, so the water in the gorge was absolutely rushing. This overlook down into the gorge is overlooked by most who walk past, but I've been here enough to see the heron here a handful of times. I waited here quite some time for it to both catch a fish and have the light on it. I took a burst, but the movement in the other shots with a fish in its mouth was unfortunately unusable.This is a BO2024 for me because of the light, the texture, the action the viewer knows just happened. General contrast & color adjustments in LR, removed a small branch poking into top left of the frame using Gen Fill in PS. Fuji XT30II, XF 70-300 at ~94mm (APSC) focal length.
