Nights at the Opera. Wish I could book the whole place to ourselves (couldn't haha, that's Paris for ya!). Billie with a night gown at the Palais Garnier opera house in Paris, France. It was very hard to get a photo without any people interrupting or occupying most of the background and foreground.

Those people really distract from the photo. You could try this again. Use a tripod to keep the camera in the same position, take one shot with the model then take several more images as the background clears. Blend those images in PS to create your final image.
Or go during the morning or a non busy period. maybe shoot it a little wider too in the direction she is looking to create space. Like keep the left side where it is and add more to the right.
Now that ive suggested all those changes lol, I like the idea you have going here. I wish I could try it.

Neither had a tripod with me (only trip I didn't carry a tripod, was devoted as a honeymoon trip).
