'Riverfire' is a special event where different aircraft from the defence force fly along the river through Brisbane to mark the beginning of the Brisbane Festival. This image was taken on the Friday rehearsal for Riverfire as the F/A-18 Super Hornet performs a steep turn over the Story Bridge before pulling into a vertical climb. Taken with my Nikon D500 and 100-400mm Tamron lens. Minor edits include shadows and highlights corrections on the jet, more warmth, high pass filter applied to the jet and exhaust, and a grad filter on the bottom of the image.
