I trekked out to the far side of Bear Lake during a vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park to get this iconic scene of Bear Lake at dawn. The rain started falling as I arrived and I worried I wasted the 4am wakeup call. I persevered, set up the camera under the rain fly, and just as the sky brightened, the rainclouds broke up, and I captured this wonderful image on my Sony a6100, 18mm, F8, 1/30 sec. In Lightroom I brightened it up a bit and brought out the oranges and blues a tad. I also gave it a little NR to make it suitable for a large print.
