Mt. Bromo in East Java, Indonesia taken with my Sony a6700 with a 70-350f4.5-6.3 We took the standard morning Jeep tour to King Kong hill to watch the sunrise. Up at 0230, 1 hour jeep ride, waiting in the dark, cold and wind for the sun to come up with hundreds of other tourists. We had two 10 year old girls with us. We had seen the pictures but would it be worth it? Simply - yes. The color of the light, and the scene is other worldly, With the other wide angle shots, friends and family asked - where are the dinoraurs? The shot has been taken so many times. But it was this one where I switched to the long lens and picked out a bit of detail that I think separates it a bit. The light, the puff of smoke, the snaking line of the ridge in the background - I feel it's a somewhat unique shot of a well known location that is absolutely worth the visit. Captured in RAW.
