This was taken handheld held in the Desert Botanical Gardens near Phoenix, Arizona. I was watching several Gambel's Quail feeding on the ground when my husband pointed out a pair feeding on blossoms in a nearby Ironwood Tree. It was a good thing I had him with as it would have been a shame to miss the bird paired with the pretty lavender flowers. It is probably my most unique shot of the year.

Photo was edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic with adjustments for light and shadows.
