From the top of the historic Moorish Castle in Sintra, I framed the National Palace of Pena using the ancient stones as a textured foreground. The warm, vibrant hues of the palace stand in striking contrast to the lush greenery of the surrounding hillsides. Patiently, I waited for the clouds to settle into place, shaping the composition to guide the viewer’s eye directly to the palace, perfectly centered on the hill. Captured with a Sony A7III and a Tamron 28-200mm lens, the photograph blends rich architectural history with natural beauty and atmospheric conditions to create a timeless scene.
