This was taken back in approximately 1985. I was young and had purchased a used Nikon that was very old but was a work horse. Back then I used Kodak and Fuji slide film. When I worked in b&w, I developed the film and printed in my darkroom but for slides I sent it out. I lived in Connecticut at that time and Connecticut Magazine had a photo contest with the subject being local scenes. This won the first prize in the color division. When I saw the contest advertised, I set out with my camera to the picturesque road nearby which had farmland and homes that were over 150 years old. As I drove down, I saw this man walking towards me with his draft horses. I couldn't believe my good fortune. I pulled over, grabbed my old Nikon with a Nikon 135 fixed lens and asked if I could take a photo. He brought his horses off the road and I took one shot (after all, it was film lol). I eventually had my favorite slides transferred on disk and edited this in several softwares. It lost quite a bit over the years but it holds a very special memory for me.
