I did a long term photo project photographing cancer patients. I went to a club show and this gentleman was sitting at our table. He was so striking I had to ask if I could take his portrait. It turns out he was also cancer patient battling lung cancer due to agent orange exposure when he was in Vietnam. I was so honored to be given permission to photograph Grace, which was his name.
