This was a night out with some old friends I hadn’t seen in ages. After a couple of beers at a small pub, someone pulled out a deck of cards, and the table got busy. I wanted to capture that fun, fast vibe, so I slowed the shutter a bit and let the hands blur while dealing.

The pub lighting was dim, so I cranked the ISO to 2500 and shot handheld on my Nikon D7200 with an 18mm at f/4, 1/20 sec. No flash, just the warm pub light doing its thing. The blur shows the motion, and for me, it makes the photo feel like you’re right there at the table, playing.
