A vibrant hummingbird hovers gracefully while feeding on nectar from a Rose of Sharon flower in a tree outside my window in Hopewell Junction, New York. Captured on September 13, 2025, with a Canon R5 camera and 100-400mm lens at 400mm, f/9, 1/800 sec, ISO-800, from about 12 feet away, the bird’s tiny form and delicate movements are beautifully highlighted among the vibrant blooms in the warm September morning glow.
