I’ve been a reptile fanatic since I was young, so naturally I spend a lot of my Spring and Summer cruising backroads in Arizona looking for our wildlife. One of the most common finds is our Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, always putting on a show for the camera. This large male was very calm and well behaved letting me shoot for quite a long time and get some great closeup detail of his face. When working with venomous snakes I have to balance my safety and getting the shots I want which is always a challenge.
