A simple cup and saucer on a white table in a white studio shot with a single studio strobe placed high, to the left and slightly behind the subject. A snoot was used to concentrate the light on the subject and a reflective baffle was placed in the light path to cast some of the light onto the back studio wall. All preliminary work (camera and light positioning, focusing, framing) was done in a lit studio then all the lights were turned out and the exposure was made.
