During the summer monsoon season in Las Vegas one of my favorite things to shoot is lightning. The Summer of 2022 we had some intense storms with crazy strikes. My lightning app was going off like crazy so I took my Sony a7iv with Tamron 70-180 @ f/8, ISO 100 for 5 seconds in timelapse mode. I have a friend that lived on the other side of the city and we texted each other what direction the storm and strikes were till it was over. Thankfully the longer exposure was long enough to catch two lightning strikes in the same frame. People always think the one strike hit the Stratosphere tower but it actually hit behind it.
