When Canon announced it's new 77D, there was a little confusion as to where it fit into canon's line up. The specs make the 77D somewhat of a hybrid between the 70D and the 80D. For a more detailed description of the differences in the models, check out our previous post explaining what each model has to offer. At it's price point of $899, the 77D might be just what you're looking for and is now available to the public. The Canon 77D DSLR Camera includes the following:
- 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
- DIGIC 7 Image Processor
- 3.0" 1.04m-Dot Vari-Angle Touchscreen
- Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 60 fps
- 45-Point All Cross-Type Phase-Detect AF
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF
- Up to 6 fps Shooting and ISO 51200
- Built-In Wi-Fi with NFC, Bluetooth
- Top LCD and Rear Quick Control Dial
- RGB+IR 7560-Pixel Metering Sensor
Although the 77D fits a little oddly into Canon's lineup, for $899 you get a better camera than the 70D and save a couple hundred dollars for the missing features that are included in the 80D.
